Up for sale is a 2 ounce bottle of handmade tincture made from Ghost Pipe (Monotropa Uniflora) and Grey Goose® vodka. This was harvested from private land in Wisconsin August 2023 and bottled immediately upon picking. The tincture was then steeped in a climate controlled basement for over 1 year. While bottling, a head from one of the steeped flowers is added to the dropper bottle. I’ve added a picture in this listing as an example. Adding a flower head should keep the tincture from losing any efficacy over a short period of time. You’ll also notice at this point in the steep the tincture is no longer visibly purple in color, it is almost black. The main picture in this listing is what you will receive when purchased. The bottle is a matte white finish that does not allow for sun intrusion. The dropper is also graduated to make dosing more consistent (additional picture added). Note: This harvested plant was bottled during August of 2024. I will allow the tincture to continue to steep in its original containers while this listing is still up. Individual bottling will be done at purchase time. For example, items bottled after mid October will have been steeped 14 months and so forth. These will be shipped in a bubble mailer. Personal experience: I was diagnosed with IBS-D at the start of 2023. At which time I was prescribed an antispasmodic to help with the pains caused by spasms. After trying this ghost pipe tincture I was amazed at the potency of the antispasmodic element. I was able to replace the prescribed medication with this natural hand made tincture. From what I can tell, Ghost Pipe is non-addictive, and has no side effects that I can tell. There are no withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking it. There is no tolerance build up from taking it repeatedly. My dosage on normal days to keep the spasms to a minimum is a half dropper before bed, daily (see dosage suggestions below). I take more as needed for any kind of flare up. This will be my preferred choice of antispasmodic from here until it is over with. Why mistreat yourself when you are trying to get better? Experimenting with the dosage of this plant for yourself would be a good way to go. Start small and add on until you notice its effects. Also, consider the situation a more acute first aid type situation may require a larger dosage than treating something like a mild chronic pain. Dosing: (Note: 1ml = 20 drops) For physical pain: Start with 3 drops and jump to 1ml if no response, up to 40 drops (2ml) every half hour. If severe use 1ml at 5 minute intervals. Once pain level improves, increase the amount of time between doses and reduce dosage amount. For psychological pain: Up to 2, 1ml doses to manage initially. 2-3, 1ml dose at 5 minute intervals for severe panic and agitation. 1-3ml doses for psychotic episodes. Will work within 15-30 minutes with the person usually falling asleep and waking up more calm and coherent. May be contraindicated for anyone taking stimulants prescribed for ADHD.
